Seelze site supports local fire brigade

Specialty Materials' Seelze, Germany, site recently presented a $5,000 grant to the Seelze Voluntary Fire Brigade to fund the purchase of new equipment and to repair existing gear. The voluntary fire brigade provides the plant with emergency reinforcement and is on call in case of fire, chemical or gas releases and other critical incidents. "The voluntary fireworkers and our plant fire brigade give us inestimable support and help maintain our high safety standard," said Peter Degenkolb, Seelze plant manager. "Their support is crucial for site safety and the safety of our direct community." The plant made the donation through Honeywell Hometown Solutions' 101A community grant program. The program enables Honeywell sites to make grants that promote our brand and involve employees.
